Il s'agit d'une m\u00e9thode utilis\u00e9e pour d\u00e9terminer la capacit\u00e9 d'un mat\u00e9riau \u00e0 r\u00e9sister aux rayures, aux indentations ou \u00e0 l'abrasion. Il consiste \u00e0 utiliser un p\u00e9n\u00e9trateur \u00e0 bille en acier dur ou en carbure, dont le diam\u00e8tre est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement compris entre 1 et 10 mm. Cette bille est press\u00e9e sur la surface de l'\u00e9chantillon. <a href=\"https:\/\/dycarbonfiber.com\/fr\/products\/tubes-en-fibre-de-carbone\/\">tube en fibre de carbone<\/a> sous une charge sp\u00e9cifi\u00e9e. Le diam\u00e8tre de l'empreinte obtenue est ensuite mesur\u00e9 pour d\u00e9terminer la duret\u00e9.<\/p><p data-start=\"2190\" data-end=\"2550\">Alors que le test Brinell est tr\u00e8s efficace pour les mat\u00e9riaux tels que les m\u00e9taux, les tubes en fibre de carbone pr\u00e9sentent un d\u00e9fi unique. Le p\u00e9n\u00e9trateur peut parfois se d\u00e9former ou ne pas cr\u00e9er d'empreintes claires en raison de la duret\u00e9 superficielle relativement faible du mat\u00e9riau par rapport aux m\u00e9taux.
